The praying mantis

I was doing some yard work yesterday when I came across an unusual insect – the praying mantis.  I took a few closeup shots of the little guy and wanted to share.

    Hey the grass in your front yard looks nice.. And so does the area that you keep mowed. Why does that mantis have to be praying?
