Tuesday, December 15th, 2009The trip to Anthem and Prescott
Sunday, December 6th, 2009
A few months ago, we planned a nice trip to Prescott to see their holiday parade and tree lighting. As Darla and I planned the day, we decided that we would do some shopping at the Anthem outlet mall – even though it would make the day a little hectic.
We figured that if we showed up at the mall at 9am and left at 11:30am, we’d still have time to make the parade at 1pm.
We got to the mall at 9:45, which worked out because it didn’t actually open until 10. (It’s generally a good idea to check to see when a place opens before you go there.) We spent more time there than we had planned and ended up eating lunch there too. We totally missed the parade and didn’t get to Prescott until after 3pm.
Darla was feeling horrible by the time we got to Prescott. We’re guessing something she ate at the outlet mall’s food court didn’t agree with her.
Because she was feeling sick, we were only able to stay in Prescott for about 30 minutes. We got some good pictures and had fun, but it definitely wasn’t the day we planned.
Photos from the trip are below.

Saturday, November 28th, 2009It’s Halloween and Anna is a ladybug
Sunday, November 1st, 2009We had bought an awesome giraffe costume for Anna in September, but by the time Halloween rolled around she had outgrown it. We ended up trading it in for the ladybug costume you see above – which is still pretty cute.
Anna couldn’t keep up with her cousin Abby while we were trick-or-treating. Whenever Abby got ahead of her, Anna would yell, “Wait, Abby!” It was hilarious! Here’s a photo of Anna chasing after Abby.

Saturday, October 17th, 2009Anna and the hoop
Monday, September 14th, 2009Anna has been begging us all day to get a “hoop”. I gave her a baseball after our weekend away from her and she’s been wanting to play basketball with it.
Basketball isn’t a foreign game to her. Our chiropractor has a hoop mounted up high and Anna wants to dunk every time we go there.
After work today, we went out and bought Anna a Nerf hoop and mounted it to her crib. We nearly had to force her to eat dinner because she wanted to go to her room and play with it.
